More than a standard voyage cost calculator

In chartering and pre-fixture voyage estimation, a standard voyage calculator or voyage estimator usually starts with distance, bunker consumption, port costs and voyage economics. Marine Solver’s Voyage Scenario Analyzer extends this into a voyage solver for user-defined commercial scenarios: compare alternative Voyage Chains, port rotations, ballast positioning, successive cargoes, bunkering calls, waiting time, canal routes, environmental exposure and regulatory performance.

The Analyzer does not select or optimize the cargo sequence. Each Voyage Chain entered by the user is treated as a planned commercial alternative. This makes it possible to compare pre-fixture voyage scenarios while preserving complete control over the intended route and cargo order.

Does the Analyzer generate a detailed vessel schedule?

Yes. It calculates estimated arrival and departure dates, waiting time, port operations and canal transit time across every leg of the planned voyage.

Can I analyze several cargoes in one voyage?

Yes. Each Voyage Chain can contain several cargoes analyzed in the exact order entered by the user. You can also create up to three alternative Voyage Chains for the same vessel and compare their results in the Analysis Summary.

Can I compare different voyage scenarios?

Yes. Voyage Analyzer can calculate up to three alternative Voyage Chains for the same vessel. Each scenario may use a different cargo sequence, port rotation and bunkering plan, while the Analysis Summary compares their operational, commercial and environmental results side by side.

Does the Analyzer optimize the voyage?

No. It analyzes the voyage sequences selected by the user. The full Marine Solver platform can additionally search the wider decision space to identify vessel and cargo-sequence alternatives.
